Large bead patterns span more than 2×2 pegboards, from 3×2 up to 4×4, so up to 116×116 beads and about 60 × 60 cm (24 × 24 in). There is room for shading, texture and faces with expression, and these are the boards adults hang up as pictures or give away. Every large pattern from Perleland is collected here, and each comes as a PDF with one page per board, so you can place one board at a time and join them at the end. The PDF shows colour codes and bead counts per colour for the whole design, so you can shop ahead: a large pattern typically uses 5,000–15,000 beads and 20–60 colours. You need as many boards as the pattern covers, or you can move finished, ironed boards off and reuse them. Place the boards with the most motif first so mistakes show early. Want a large pattern of your own photo or drawing? The tool makes patterns up to 1000×1000 beads, and text to bead pattern draws a motif from a sentence at the Large size.
It is shown on every pattern, for example 3×3 boards = 9 boards. You can also place one board at a time, iron it and reuse the board for the next.
Iron each board separately, lay them edge to edge face down and iron over the seams with ironing paper so the beads fuse. A large piece of cardboard on the back keeps it flat while it cools.
Typically 5,000–15,000 beads and 20–60 colours. Every pattern shows the exact count per colour so you can buy the colours you are missing.
Yes. Upload a photo or drawing in the tool and choose 3×3, 4×4 or more boards. A sharp picture with clear colours gives the best large pattern.
