Small bead patterns are the ones that fit on a single pegboard: 29×29 midi beads, about 15 × 15 cm (6 × 6 in). They are done in an afternoon, need at most a few hundred beads, and they are the best place to start for children and for anyone who wants to try fuse beads without buying a big kit. This page collects every one-board pattern from Perleland: animals, Christmas motifs, emojis, fruit and characters. Each pattern downloads as a PDF with colour codes and a count of how many beads you need per colour, so you know you have enough before you start. Small patterns also make great keyrings, magnets, gift tags and tree ornaments: iron them, add a ring, and they last for years. Want a different motif? Pick a picture in the tool, set the size to one board, and you get your own small pattern right away.
A full 29×29 board is 841 beads, but most small motifs use 300–600 because the background stays empty. Every pattern shows the exact count per colour.
The standard square midi pegboard with 29×29 pegs (Hama, Nabbi, Pyssla and Perler all use the same spacing). Every pattern here fits on one of those.
Yes. The small patterns on this page have fewer colours and big, clear shapes, so children from about 5 can follow them. Pick one with under 10 colours for the youngest.
